A desperate Weld County family has hired a private investigator to help locate missing mother of four, Kaysey Yoder, who hasn’t been seen since January.
After trying everything they could to find Yoder, the family turned to Loveland-based PI Eryn Martinez to try and bring their loved one home.
“The hardest part is that every morning when I wake up, I have this urge to call her like I always did, and now I can’t do that,” said Anne Green, Yoder’s friend for 23 years.
Jan. 14 was the last time Yoder, 35, was seen, when she left her home on Appy Road in Eaton. Her family and friends are trying not to give up hope on bringing her home.
“The more days that pass, the more you start to get that feeling that something bad happened, and that has been really hard to deal with,” Green said.
Green said she worries because the day before Yoder’s disappearance, she had a mental health crisis.
“She told me the day before, she had gone and walked across the street to one of those concrete irrigation inlets and she laid down in it. She said she was going to lay there and wait for herself to freeze to death.”
“Constant wondering, and that constant fear of what happened have been going through my mind,” Green said.
She is hoping PI Martinez will help find her friend and finally bring her home.
Martinez has close to 4,000 hours of experience in surveillance, insurance investigations, background and fraud investigations, missing people cases, and civil and criminal investigations. She also volunteers on cold cases for several foundations.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office says it continues to actively investigate Yoder’s disappearance and is urging the public for any new information that could help in locating her.
“We deeply appreciate the efforts and support of the community in our search for Kaysey,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
The sheriff’s office says it has received numerous tips regarding Yoder’s possible whereabouts, but unfortunately, none have led to her location.
Yoder was last seen wearing a jacket, blue jeans and black knee-high combat boots, and she was carrying a gray, green and blue athletic backpack.
Anyone with information on Yoder’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Weld County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 970-400-2854.
