Colorado PI conference scheduled for September

The Professional Private Investigators Association of Colorado (PPIAC) will hold its annual conference in Westminster in September.

The 2024 Rocky Mountain Investigators Conference will showcase presenters including Kelly Riddle, Ellis Armistead, Don Redl, Casey Paison, Rachel Roberts, JP Moore, Toby Eborn and Kenneth Enneking.

The conference will be held at the Origin Hotel on September 15-17. It costs $275 for PPIAC members and $350 for non-members.

In the meantime, the PPIAC will feature Hollie Reinhart, an expert on interviewing children, as its guest speaker at its June meeting.

“When conducting interviews of children, it is crucial to consider their developmental stage, cognitive abilities, and communication skills to ensure both validity and reliability of the information being gathered,” says Hollie, a forensic interviewer at the Denver Children’s Advocacy Center.

“To develop these skills, interviewers should focus on using age-appropriate language, open-ended questions, and non-leading prompts.”

The meeting will be held at 2pm on June 5 at 2851 S. Parker Road, Tower 1, Aurora.
