Lindsey Paison will speak on how to find missing persons at the April meeting of the Professional Private Investigator Association of Colorado.
Paison is the owner and lead investigator of Dark Knight Private Investigations, which specializes in the reunification of missing and endangered persons with family and loved ones, as well as process service, aid to law firms for witness interviews, and mobile notary.
“I started my own private investigation practice in the fall of 2021, after many years doing private process services for various law firms,” says Paison.
“I expanded on my process service work which required deep dives into social media, locating hard to find persons and investigative work to get the services done.”
But it was Paison’s interest in locating missing persons and runaways that landed her on the cover of Westword last year.
“I have great relationships with local law enforcement agencies which allows me to get great results coupled with my ability to locate hard to find individuals.”
Paison says in 2022 she also launched the Get Home Safely Mission as a special project within Dark Knight.
“This project aims to provide pro bono missing person location work for families and friends in and out of Colorado, who are looking for missing loved ones on the streets experiencing homelessness, drug addiction and/or mental illness.”
“Upon locating these individuals, I assess their situation and attempt to reunite them with their loved ones, and provide resources to help them get off the street or return to their family.”
She says she has successfully located and confirmed the safety of over a dozen individuals on the streets in Colorado.
Paison started her career as a PI after studying criminal justice and private investigation at the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
The board and general meeting of the PPIAC will be held on Wednesday, April 3, between 2pm and 5pm at 2851 S. Parker Road (Tower 1), Aurora.
